In the house
There’s a Sonos Move on the kitchen counter. It’s yours for the stay — your account, your music, carried to whichever room you end up in. Here’s everything, in about a minute.

01
The power button is on the back. If the light on top is already white, it’s awake and on the house wi-fi — leave it be. It sleeps on its own.
02
Press the Bluetooth button on the back, the one sitting between Power and Join. The speaker chimes and the light on top turns blue. Press and hold that same button and the light starts flashing — that’s pairing mode.
Open Bluetooth on your phone, choose Move, and you’ll hear a second chime when it connects.
03
Everything plays from your phone now — your Spotify, your podcast, your account, never ours. Volume and skip are on top of the speaker if you’d rather leave the phone where it is.
04
Lift it off the base and go — the patio, the studio, the garden, the table. A full charge runs about eleven hours.
05
When you’re done, set it back on the charging base in the kitchen, contacts down and touching. The light glows orange for a few seconds and then goes dark — that’s it charging, not off. A full charge takes about two hours.
These playlists were built for a room, not a crowd. Played quietly, you hear the thing that makes them worth putting on — the detail, the space around it — and conversation still carries easily over the top. Turn it up and most of that goes away.
Sound travels further outside than in, so the patio asks for a lighter hand than the kitchen. And please be mindful of the neighbors, especially after dark.
Things happen. A glass goes over, it slips off the counter, the weather turns while it’s still out on the patio. Tell us the same day — a text to your host is plenty. There’s no penalty for an honest accident, and knowing early means we can have it sorted before the next guest arrives.
Guests are responsible for loss or damage beyond normal wear, at the actual cost of repair or replacement. We’ll always talk it through with you first and show you what it came to. Nobody here enjoys surprising anyone with a bill.
The house sounds better with something on. Take the playlists with you when you go.
