Linea Stays logo, designed for life in between
A cocktail book and brass bottle opener on a warm-lit walnut bar shelf, seen past a wooden chair

Savor every pour.

Proper glassware, a few books worth opening, and the tools to do it right. What goes in the glass is yours to choose.

Best used
The hour after the day ends.
There is a particular stretch between finishing work and thinking about dinner that most people spend looking at a phone. It is better spent making something.
The making is the point more than the drink is. Ice, a measure, something cold in a glass that feels good to hold. It takes four minutes and it moves you from one part of the day into the next.
What's here
Glass, tools, and a few books.
Glassware
Schott Zwiesel
Red wine, white wine, and martini coupes. Thin at the rim, heavier than they look, and meant to be used rather than admired — take them down.
The tools
Enough to do it properly
The accoutrement is at the bar: what you need to measure, stir, shake, and strain without improvising with a coffee mug.
The books
Open one
A few cocktail books sit at the bar. Pick one up and make the thing you have never ordered because you were not sure how to pronounce it. Nobody is watching.
Nothing to prove
The zero-proof shelf.
Not every evening calls for alcohol, and an evening without it should not mean a glass of tap water while everyone else has something interesting.
The non-alcoholic side of the Market is stocked for exactly this: Dram adaptogen elixirs, Fermensch kombucha, Fever-Tree tonics by the six-pack, S.Pellegrino and FIJI. Built into a coupe over good ice, most of them hold their own.
All of it is delivered here in Kansas City — including to this house, while you are in it.
From the Linea Market
Have it sent over.
The cocktail program is an option rather than an assumption. Order what you want for the evening and we will bring it to the door.

Leaving it ready
Caring for the glass.
  • Rinse the glassware soon after you are done rather than leaving it to sit overnight.
  • Hold stemware by the bowl, not the stem, when you wash it. That is where they break.
  • Wipe the bar down and put the tools back where you found them.
  • Close the books and leave them at the bar for the next person.
If something breaks
Tell us. That is the whole ask.
An honest accident is on us. Glass is glass and it happens — we would rather hear it from you than find it after you have gone, because it means the next guest walks into a bar that is complete.
