Linea Stays logo, designed for life in between
Coffee station with espresso machine, black kettle, lit candle, plants, and wooden shelf with jars.

Take the long way.

Two e-bikes in the garage, charged and locked, with a helmet for each. Rented for the length of your stay — ask us for pricing.

Best used
For seeing the neighborhood at the right speed.
A car is too fast to notice anything and walking only gets you a few blocks. A bike with a motor in it lands exactly in between — far enough to reach dinner across the neighborhood, slow enough to see the houses on the way.
The assist does the hills, which in this part of the city is the whole argument.
How it works
The bikes are rented, not included.
Two Class 2 e-bikes live in the garage. They are not part of the house the way the kitchen is — they are rented separately, for the length of your stay, whether you are here for a weekend or a season.
The rate is quoted on inquiry, so ask us and we will tell you what it is for your dates along with whether the bikes are available. Everything is arranged before you arrive, and the bikes are not released until the rental and the waiver are both in place.
The terms of the rental live in the e-bike agreement you will sign — that document governs, and this page is only the plain-language version of it.
Riding while you are here?
Ask about the bikes
We reply the same day with pricing, availability, and the waiver.
In the garage
What's there, and where.
The bikes
Two, with a lock each
Both bikes live in the garage. Each one has its own lock, and there are two helmets and the charger in there with them.
Charging
Back on the charger, always
When a bike is not being ridden it should be charging or sitting on the charger. It is the only way the next guest finds a full battery instead of a dead one — and the only way you do, tomorrow morning.
Out in the city
Lock it every time
Use the lock whenever the bike is out of your sight, even briefly, and even for a good coffee.
Before the first ride
A few firm ones.
Most of this house is a matter of preference. This part is not.
  • Helmets are worn every ride, by every rider, for the whole ride.
  • No riders under 14.
  • Ride sober, and ride as traffic — these are quick, and drivers here do not always expect a bike moving at speed.
  • One rider per bike. No passengers.
  • Lock the bike whenever you leave it, and return it to the charger when you are home.
Paperwork, briefly
Everyone signs before they ride.
One form, once per stay, signed by each person who plans to ride — personally, by the rider, even when someone else is paying for the rental. It covers use of the bikes, the rules above, and responsibility for loss or damage while a bike is out with you.
01
Ask about the bikes
We send pricing, availability for your dates, and the waiver together.
02
Sign it
Every rider signs their own. Riders under 18 are signed for by a parent or guardian — and remember, nobody under 14 rides.
03
Send it back
Email it to hello@lineastays.com or text a photo of it to 816-209-7377. A clear photo is fine — no scanner required.
Loss, theft, misuse, or damage beyond ordinary wear is handled under the e-bike agreement and the terms of your stay. Text us if anything happens out there — a flat, a fall, a bike that will not wake up. We would rather hear it from the road.
Where to point them
We wrote the ride down.
Our favorite coffee, dinner, and wandering spots are in the local guide, and a good number of them are a comfortable ride from the door.
